What is a Hookah?

A Hookah is a water pipe of Middle Eastern origin that it used to smoke sweet or flavored tobacco. The smoke is filtered through water at the base of the Hookah. A typical Hookah has four main parts; the base – filled with water, the bowl – where tobacco is burned, stem – which connects the bowl to the base, and the hose and the mouthpiece – which is where it's being smoked (LiveScience). In the picture on the left, Etarez labels each part of the Hookah, thus showing an overall picture. This picture is the typical image of a hookah. Also, a hookah has several different names that are associated with a water pipe. Some of these names include Goza, Argileh, Shisha, and hubble-bubble. Now, the smoking process is very simply. First, the smoker inhales, the tobacco smoke is sucked down from the bowl and then bubbles up through the water into the air of the smoke chamber and then through the hose to the smoker. The water in the vase cools the smoke and filters out some of its tar and particulates. Finally, at the end of a smoking session, the dirty water is thrown away and the hookah vase washed and refilled for the next user or users.

What is shisha

The most common type of tobacco used on Hookahs is called Massel. A Massel is flavored and sweetened. There are a great variety of flavors, almost anything and everything. From watermelon, to cappuccino, to mint, almost every fruit and many favorites are made into flavored tobacco. One of the main differences between cigarettes and hookahs and one of the main reasons people choose hookah over cigarettes is because of the flavors. The smokers are provided with a pleasant smoking experience because of the sweet smell and smooth taste of the flavored tobaccos.
